John Chance II

John Chance II "Pepper" was born Feb 1st 1962 in MN to James and Joan Chance. John passed near Tallahassee FL on Sept 15th, 2022. Memorial service to be held at River of Life Church 22881 178th Avenue, Cold Spring, MN 56320 on Thursday Oct 6th at 6:00 pm. Funeral service with military honors will be held at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls MN(Camp Ripley) on Friday Oct 7th at 2pm. John served in the U.S Army where he met and married Kimberly Whitfield. John was larger than life, he was a genuine man who tried to make friends with everyone and anyone he spoke with. He loved to make people laugh or cheer them up with a smile, joke, or a hug. When his children were younger John was involved in coaching hockey and the local scouting troops his children were a part of, even serving as boy scout master for years. In recent years John found a love of riding motorcycles that he shared with his sons and wife, joining a club where he made friendships and touched even more lives. John was a loving husband, father, brother, son and grandfather who was taken too early and will be loved and missed dearly by many. John was survived in life by his wife of 38 1/2 years Kimberly, his children John, Jessica(Nicholas)and James. His grand-children Angelyn, Lacey and Mason. His parents James and Joan, his siblings Jean(Becky), Jeffery(Caroline), Jerome, Joni and Jayleen(Glen).
