James Edmund Simon, age 71

A Gathering of Family and Friends Celebrating the Life of James Edmund Simon, age 71 of St. Joseph, will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the Simon Family Farm in St. Joseph, Minnesota. James passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 16, 2021, at the St. Cloud Hospital, surrounded by his family.       

James was born September 10, 1949, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Bernard and Viola (Hansen) Simon. Simo graduated in the Class of 1967 from Tech High School. James married Vicki Wentz October 21, 1978, in Mahnomen, Minnesota. They enjoyed forty-two years together. Jimmy enjoyed farming, driving his Peterbilt Semi Truck, driving his 57 Chevy, and his Corvettes. Most of all, he enjoyed his family and "pestering" his grandchildren; he had a "Goofy" sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Al Simon, and one sister Leona Gapko.

James is survived by his wife, Vicki, his four children, Nichole (Jeremy Kunstleben) Simon of Albany, Sheelar (Jeremy) Fuchs of IL, Nathan (Ashley) Simon of Melrose, Natausha (Paul Hollermann) Simon of Albany, Seven Grandchildren, one brother Bob (Jane) Simon of St. Joseph, one sister, Marie (Bob) Connally of CO.
