Danyel René (Piecek) Rockwell, age 35

Danyel René (Piecek) Rockwell, age 35 died Wednesday September 30, 2020 at Banner Boswell Medical Center, Sun City, Arizona surrounded by her family. She was born in Camp Pendleton, California to Scott and Dawn (Sundholm) Piecek on December 17, 1984 and she is the eldest of two children.

She went to school in Fort Know, KY, Fort Wainwright, AK, Fort Benning GA and finished the rest of her schooling at ROCORI where she graduated High School in 2003. Danyel loved to play Hockey and Softball. She graduated from Saint Cloud State in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication.

Danyel’s first job was as a TV News Reporter for Northland’s News Center in Duluth, MN. In 2012 she moved to Texas to study Pre-Med so she could help take care of the Troops. Instead, she fell in love with Nate Rockwell and they married in 2014. She also worked for Coldspring in the Marketing Department and also for Birthline Inc., a non-profit in St. Cloud, MN. In 2018 Danyel and Nate moved to Glendale, Arizona where she found her job of a lifetime as the Media Director for the Harvest Church. They built a new home in the flight path for the jet fighters of Luke AFB; she loved those jets.

She is preceded in Death by her Grand Fathers Frank J. Piecek Sr. and Richard Sundholm as well as her Uncle’s, Paul Piecek and Tony Sundholm. She is survived by her parents, Scott and Dawn (Sundholm) Piecek, her brother Cory Piecek, her Grand Mothers Marian Piecek and Jackie Sundholm and her many Aunts and Uncles and Cousins and the young lady who she brought home that never left, Alisha (Miller) Jacobs.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on October 10, 2020 at the River of Life Church in Cold Spring at 11:00 A.M
