Lorraine Brinkman

Lorraine Brinkman was formerly from Cold Spring, Minnesota. She passed away peacefully in her home in Desert Hot Springs, California on April 8, 2020 surrounded by her family.  She was two months away from her 97th birthday.  A celebration of her life will be held later in DHS. 

Lorraine was married to Cyril (Cy) Brinkman for 60 years. They had four children, Jackie, Denver, Colorado; James, Denver, Colorado; Kevin, Champlin, Minnesota; David, Desert Hot Springs, California.  Four granddaughters, Angela, Sarah, Crystal and Katrina and three great grand daughters, Mackenzie, Lilian and Alyson. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and one brother. 

Lorraine loved spending time with her family and friends. She read constantly, had a great green thumb with all her plants, enjoyed traveling to Colorado and loved going on walks even in her 90’s.  She taught Title 1 kids at St. Boniface grade school for approximately 20 years. She loved working with these children.

She was loved by her neighbors in the complex where she  lived in California being the oldest resident there.  She has left a great void in many peoples’ hearts with her passing.
