Lorraine M. Olson, age 88

Cold Spring
September 24, 1931 – October 30, 2019

A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church in Cold Spring for Lorraine M. Olson, age 88, who died Wednesday at Cherrywood in Richmond.  Inurnment will be in the MN State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.

A gathering of friends and relatives will be from 9:30 -10:45 a.m. Tuesday morning at the church.

Lorraine was born on September 24, 1931 in Waumandee Township, WI to August and Merel (Rothing) Adank.  She married Gerald Olson on October 15, 1949 in Eau Claire, WI.  Lorraine worked as an LPN at St. John’s Hospital in Redwing, MN.  She liked to bake, especially pies, teach and dance polka. Lorraine loved to travel, give to others and had several foster children.
 
Survivors include her husband, Gerald; children, Bonnie Baker, Julie Bennett, Jim (Mitch) Olson, Barry Olson; siblings, Richard, Donald, Carol Lueras, Robert Oebser; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Clyde, Dallas, Micky, Judy Oebser; and grandson, Jeremy Baker.

Arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring.
