Charles Anthony Konz, age 66

Cold Spring
July 16, 1951 – June 10, 2018

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pearl Lake (Marty), MN for Charles Anthony Konz, age 66, who died Sunday at his home with many family members by his side.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14th at the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring, MN.  Visitation will continue 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Friday morning at the funeral home.

Charlie was born in Cold Spring MN to Ebert and Ethel (Beaver) Konz.  He married Beverly Willenbring on October 30, 1971 in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring, MN.  Charlie served in the Army National Guard as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic.  He semi-retired as a Machinist/Maintenance Tech in April 2017.  Charlie enjoyed family time, hunting, fishing, designing and building items in his home shop.  He also enjoyed being involved in the CMTEC and REC programs.  Charlie was a friend of Bill W. for 24 years and shared that friendship with others.  He jokingly made a suggestion to include the fact that he wasn’t a patient man, but we knew different.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly; children, Heather Konz, Sarah (Bernardino) Alvarado; sisters, Patty Konz, Donna (Larry) Pagel, Vivian (Randy) Krueger, Jeanette (Russ) Thompson, Laurie Konz; brothers, Dave (Sue), Joe (Lori), Paul (Julie), Ted (Mary); mother-in-law, Monica Willenbring; sisters-in-law, Connie Leathers, Marcie (Shawn) Weber, Faye Leither; 4 grandchildren, Jordan, Brandon, Carson and Jailyn.

He was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Nadine Konz; father-in-law, Lawrence Willenbring; goddaughter, Jenny Konz Hollermann.

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
