Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley, MN for Florence Weinmann, age 84, who died Saturday surrounded by her family.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2017 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond.  Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., Saturday morning at the funeral home.

Florence was born in Eden Valley, MN to John and Hildegard (Millerbrend) Kohnen.  She married George Wein mann on April 11, 1951 in Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley.  Florence was a homemaker who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, helping with farm chores, traveling and going to the casino, playing cards, quilting, embroidering, and she had a love for animals.  Florence was a member of the Christian Women and a quilting group from Assumption Parish.

Survivors include her children, Marcie (Dave) Sowada, Eileen (Randy Siem) Decker, Jeanette (Frank) Dingmann, Georgia (David) Gertken, Harold, Elmer (Tammy), Louise (Ed) Hopfer, John, Dan, Mary (Rick) Rausch; sister, Helen (Gary) Kok; 32 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband George (3/16/17); her son, Richard “Richie” (5/1/73); son-in-law, Willy Decker; brothers, Raymond (Francis) Kohnen, Pete (Dolores) Kohnen; sisters, Fran (Walter) Hicks, Lou (Dick) Ward, Rose (Lloyd) Curtis, and Dorothy (James) Seibert.

The family would like to thank the staff at Assumption Home and St. Croix Hospice for the loving care they gave to mom.
