Paul W. Trueman, age 73

Paul William Trueman passed away peacefully Thursday, November 30, 2017 at North Austin St. David's Hospital in North Austin, Texas with his wife Nancy and his son Brian of Littleton, CO at his side.  His cause of death was due to kidney and heart failure.  A family service will be held later in Colorado.

Paul was born to Howard and Florence (Bell) Trueman on June 17, 1944 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud MN.  He married Nancy Graham in Vicksburg, MS. on May 31, 1969.  Paul & Nancy have one son, Brian, born December 18, 1973.

Paul graduated from St. Boniface High School in Cold Spring in 1962.  He served his country honorably in the US Army from 1962-1965.  He graduated from Northwestern State University in Nacadoches, LA. in 1970.  While at NW State University, Paul was a member of the university track team.  In 1969 he set a university school record, running the 5000 meters, with a time of 14.21.4 on a cinder track.  That record, 48 years later, has never been broken & is still the school record.

After graduation Paul taught school in Houston, Texas.  He later owned is own investment company for many years in Austin, Texas.

Paul is survived by his wife Nancy of 48 years, his son Brian & granddaughter, Cadence.  He is also survived by his siblings & spouses: Carol Rausch of Foley, Alabama, Jim (Kathy) of Cold Spring, Mike (Connie) of Baudette, MN & Arizona, Pat, Minnetonka, sister-in-law, Fran Trueman, Brooklyn Park, stepsister and her husband Donna & Paul Wheeler of Alexandria, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John, on August 5, 2016
