Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017 at St. John’s the Baptist Parish Center in Collegeville, MN for Frances R. “Frannie Mac” Ludwig, age 101, who died Tuesday at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends and family may visit from 10 – 11:00 a.m. Monday morning, at The Parish Center.  Arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring.

Frances was born in Hackensack, MN, she was adopted by Alexander and Flora (Curo) McIntosh.  She married Medard John “Sam” Ludwig on June 1, 1941 in St. Thomas Parish, International Falls.  Frances worked various positions with the county and city before retiring at age 70 as the Deputy City Clerk for the city of International Falls.  She moved to Cloquet in 1990 and later to Albany in 2003.  In her later life and during retirement she was an avid reader, enjoyed maintaining her house and garden, adored her boys and her cats.  Frances had a strong faith and was active in her church.

She is survived by her children, James (Nikki), John (Jan), Jerry (Nancy); grandchildren, Sheryl Christianson, Shelly Ludwig, Kelli Schulte, Kim Steiner, Calvin Ludwig; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and her cousin, Bobby Jack Gauthier.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

In lieu of flowers memorials to St. John’s the Baptist Catholic Church are preferred.
