Phyllis Humbert, age 85

Cold Spring
December 3, 1931 – January 8, 2017

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Phyllis Humbert, age 85, who died Sunday at Assumption Home in Cold Spring with her sister Leila by her side.  Intombment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m., Saturday morning, January 14, 2017 in the St. Boniface Church Narthex.  Arrangements are with Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring. 

Phyllis was born on December 3, 1931 in St. Cloud to Len and Martha (Loehr) Athmann.  Phyllis graduated from Cathedral High School in 1949 and married Vernon Humbert on September 10, 1949 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Church in St. Cloud.  Phyllis was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed baking, cooking, reading and ice skating.  She was a member of Christian Women, Resurrection Choir, Crosier Apostolate and Rocori Senior Center.
 
Survivors include her seven children, Dave (Connie), Mary (Mike) Payne, Tom (Val), Jim (Ellen), Judy (Dan) Sladek, Joanie (Dennis) Webster, Chris (Karla); sister, Leila Meyer; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon and her brother Marvin Athmann.
