Bernice E. Fuchs, age 79

October  18, 1937 – March 1, 2017	 
	 Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Bernice E. Fuchs, age 79, who died Wednesday at her home surrounded by her family. Inurnment will be in the Holy Cross Parish Cemetery, Marty.
Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2017, at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Visitation will continue from 9 – 10:15 a.m. Saturday morning in the St. Boniface Church Narthex.
Bernice  was born in St. Nicholas, MN to Raymond and Marie (Johannes) Pauly.  She married Ralph W. Fuchs on September 5,  1959 in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring.  Bernice graduated from St. Boniface High  School in 1956 and from Miller Hospital School of Nursing in 1958.  She worked as an LPN at St. Cloud Hospital,  Fairview St. Mary’s Hospital in Minneapolis, Ivanson Memorial Hospital in  Laramie, Wyoming, and Assumption Nursing Home in Cold Spring.  As part of her retirement she worked in Home  Health Care for four years.  Bernice’s  hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren and  great-grandchildren.  She also enjoyed  sewing, knitting, embroidery, adult coloring, crosswords, and weekly Bingo  outings with her brother Lloyd.  Bernice  also enjoyed her “sisters” weekends with her 7 sisters every fall.
   
       Survivors  include her children, Denise (Art) Schutz, Sheila Fuchs, Keith (Sharon) Fuchs,  Rodney Fuchs; siblings, Francis, Donald (Helen), JoAnn (Dave) Jones, Harold  (Eileen), Marlene Kalla, Lloyd, Cletus (Marge), Doris (Jerry) Brinkman, Ralph  (Cindy), Carol (Marvin) Hondl, Sandra (Ron) Scholz, Mary (Tim) Van Roy, and  Joyce (Darrell) Rogers grandchildren, Derek (Sonelle) Schutz, Kelvin Schutz,  Devon (RyLee Burg) Schutz, Brett Fuchs and Brooke Fuchs; great-grandchild,  Kallana Schutz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Fuchs; son, Joseph Fuchs; parents; brothers, Gary Pauly and Eugene Pauly.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the CentraCare Hospice Team, Deacon Larry Sell, Fr. Matthew Luft, OSB, the St. Boniface Befrienders and all the family and friends for the wonderful care and love they extended to Bernice over the past few months.
