Donald J. Bissonnette, age 95

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Donald J. Bissonnette age 95, who died Monday November 27 at St. Therese Care Center in New Hope. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.

A gathering of family and friends will be 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday in the St. Boniface Church Narthex. Arrangements are with Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring.

Don was born in Minneapolis to Walter and Madeline (Halik) Bissonnette. He married Luverne M. Hirt on September 21, 1946 in Minneapolis. Don served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a loving husband and father. Don enjoyed volunteering and loved being with his family and friends.

He is survived by his sons, Charles (Carolyn) Bissonnette, Bruce (Cindy) Bissonnette; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Luverne; children, Duane (Ramona) Bissonnette and Janet (Don) Tyson; brother Louie; sister, Gladys.
