Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, St. Nicholas, MN, for Lucille C. Miller, 79, who passed away peacefully at home. Inurnment will be at a later date.<\/p>\n
A visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8 at Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond, MN. Visitation will continue Friday from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. at the church.<\/p>\n
Lucille was born in Richmond, MN to Stephen and Ida (Hennen) Schreifels. She married Ken Miller April 8, 1967, in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond. Lucille and Ken farmed together for 59 years on the Century farm.<\/p>\n
Lucille\u2014affectionately known as \u201cTootsie\u201d\u2014was a hardworking, adventurous \u201cdoer\u201d with a big heart. From driving tractors and canning vegetables to teaching any kid to swim, fish, and ride bikes, she poured energy into everything she did. To many who visited the farm just to chat, she was a beloved \u201csecond mom.\u201d<\/p>\n
A dedicated fan, Tootsie cheered on her son\u2019s EVW wrestling in the 80s and later her grandchildren\u2019s sports She could happily play cards for hours\u2014never above a little harmless cheating to keep everyone on their toes. She enjoyed iPad games, game shows, and crocheting blankets for loved ones. In her later years, her greatest joy was watching daily photos\/-videos of her family, especially her cherished great-grandchildren. Her legacy is one of warmth, laughter, love and endless SMILES!<\/p>\n
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Kenneth; children, Diane (Brian) Miller-Gertken, James (Kelly) Miller, Luann (Robert) Hennen; grandchildren, Blake, Emma, and Spencer Miller, Trent (Kayla) Gertken; great grandchildren, Caden, Beau, and one arriving in December; siblings, Harold (Beverly) Schreifels, David (Annie) Schreifels; in-laws, Betty Schreifels and Virgil Spoden.<\/p>\n
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Richard Schreifels, Delroy (Lillian) Schreifels, Carol Spoden.<\/p>\n
