Naturally, the United States and its allies don’t like this news and have sent messages to China, telling them to stop!

I’ve often wondered how the United States would react to having bombs dropped inside our borders, but so far the aggression against us has been strikes against military bases in other countries – which is bad enough, but imagine if bombs were being dropped in our country.

Just when gas prices were starting to drop, the war amps up and prevents oil shipments, and prices at the pump rise again.

It doesn’t take a lot to figure out that high prices at the pump equate to higher prices for nearly everything. Fuel drives our economy – higher cost of fuel means higher prices for practically everything we need.

Every time there seems to be a glimmer of hope for an end to the war in Iran, something happens that escalates it again. There have been ceasefire agreements that have broken down. There have been peace talks that have broken down. America and its allies have spent billions with no real hope for an end. We can only keep hoping and praying there will be few American people, military and civilian, injured or killed during this conflict.

****

Before moving to Florida, I had no idea the summer was the “rainy season,” and after living here for over five years, the pattern I see is rain in the afternoons anywhere from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. Most rains are short, but heavy. At the beginning of this year, most of Florida was in a severe drought situation. Watering restrictions have been in place since early this year – we can only water one day a week, and for only a few hours – it’s not nearly enough to keep our lawn healthy, but the good news, as I write this, is that there is rain falling and will continue most of the morning and into the afternoon. It’s not uncommon to get storms that drop more than five inches of rain in a short time.

Something else I notice is that thunder and lightning are way more frequent and much louder here than I had been used to living up north in God’s country.

Have A Good Week!

As I watch the news, I can’t help but wonder if we’re headed to World War III?
