January 6, 1955 \u2013 April 14, 2026<\/p>\n

Terry R. Backes, age 71, passed away peacefully at Avamere Rehab of Sequim on Tuesday, April 14th.<\/p>\n

Terry was born January 6, 1955, in St. Cloud, MN, to Daniel and Vivian (Landwehr) Backes. He grew up on a farm southeast of Richmond, MN, and graduated from ROCORI High School, Cold Spring, MN, in 1974. He then worked on the farm until his parents sold it in 1994. He held various jobs after that. One he really enjoyed was driving the power mower while cutting the Richmond parish and parochial school grounds. Terry was a good soul and had a smile for everyone. He loved traveling with his parents and was an avid Vikings fan. Also, he really liked word search puzzles and playing slot machines at casinos.<\/p>\n

He is survived by brothers Keith of Sequim, WA, and Michael (Kathy) of Port Angeles, WA.<\/p>\n

He was preceded in death by his parents.<\/p>\n

A graveside service will be planned for this fall at Sts Peter and Paul Parish Cemetery in Richmond, MN.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
