{"id":2387,"date":"2025-06-24T01:17:40","date_gmt":"2025-06-24T01:17:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/csrecord.net\/?p=2387"},"modified":"2025-06-23T22:19:30","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T22:19:30","slug":"congratulations-to-our-amazing-cold-spring-home-pride-lions-award-recipients","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/csrecord.net\/index.php\/2025\/06\/24\/congratulations-to-our-amazing-cold-spring-home-pride-lions-award-recipients\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations to Our Amazing Cold Spring Home Pride Lions Award Recipients!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Cold Spring Home Pride Lions Club is proud to recognize several members who received awards at our June meeting for their outstanding service, leadership, and commitment to the Lions\u2019 motto: \u201cWe Serve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Judy Gertken received the Helen Keller Award for her dedicated work with the KidSight vision screening program and her strong leadership on the club\u2019s Membership Committee.<\/p>\n<p>Corey Decker was named Lion of the Year, as voted by fellow club members, for her instrumental role in club fundraising\u2014especially through the Thomsen\u2019s Garden Center gift card sales and the annual plant sale\u2014just two of the many projects she supports with passion and energy.<\/p>\n<p>Kathy Haselhorst was honored with the Lions Childhood Cancer Award in recognition of her leadership in organizing neck pillow work days for cancer patients at CentraCare Coborn Cancer Center, as well as her invaluable work as the club\u2019s Treasurer.<\/p>\n<p>Cindy Cawson received the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) Fellowship, a tribute to her unwavering spirit of volunteerism and her willingness to help whenever and wherever needed\u2014truly embodying what it means to be a Lion.<\/p>\n<p>Karen Ashfeld was awarded the Can Do Canines Top Dog Award for her consistent willingness to step up when volunteers are needed. Her \u201cI can do that!\u201d attitude uplifts the entire club.<\/p>\n<p>June Rossman and Lois Weiman both received the Minnesota Lions Hearing Foundation Award. June continues to share ideas and guidance from her past leadership experience, inspiring fellow members to lead with confidence.<\/p>\n<p>Lois took on the leadership role for the club\u2019s Pancake Supper fundraiser and is a reliable, joyful presence when extra hands are needed. As a club made up of dedicated women with big hearts, the Cold Spring Home Pride Lions continue to serve the community with compassion, creativity, and purpose. We are truly blessed to have each and every member in our Pride.
