On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Cold Spring-Richmond Police Officer Mitchell Mueller received a K-9 Quilt of Honor made by Kim Pelletier of Cold Spring. Pelletier explained that she had been at the St. Cloud Quilt Expo in St. Cloud in June where the kits were available for purchase. After many dedicated hours of quilt work and sewing, she presented her finished project to Officer Mueller and K-9 Ghost.
A K-9 Quilt of Honor recognizes Law Enforcement, Military, and Fire Search and Rescue K-9s and their handlers for their willingness to serve our community, our country and stand in harms way to keep us all safe.
The K-9 quilt features the Thin Blue Line Flag with a German Shepherd block that has Ghost’s name embroidered on it. Throughout the quilt there is paw print stitching giving it an extra special detail along with a personalized tag sewn on the quilt that includes the K-9 name, handler, quilt maker and date.
Officer Mueller, K-9 Ghost and the entire Cold Spring-Richmond Police Department would like to thank Kim for the beautiful gift.
