The Cold Spring Economic Development Authority enjoyed a visit with Glimmer at the Red River Mall. Owner Malissa Mauricio started this business after many years in the corporate world. When asked how she came up with the name Glimmer, Malissa stated “A Glimmer in positive psychology is defined as a small moment that improves mental well-being; the opposite of a trigger.” At Glimmer, they do that through humor or positive reinforcement, and they focus on these types of items in the store. Glimmer has something for everyone of all ages.
Malissa also takes a community-first focus by supporting over two dozen local vendors, as well as generating community interest through things like the Perfectly Imperfect butterfly mural or the new Cold Spring directory popping up around town, all to help bring more business to Cold Spring.
We are lucky to have Glimmer and Malissa as part of our community!
