Three local Lions will play important leadership roles with the Minnesota Lions Vision Foundation (MLVF) during the coming year. District Governor of 5M8 Diann Bellmont of the Cold Spring Home Pride Lions Club will serve on the MLVF Board as the Multiple District 5M District Governor Liaison. She will be joined by third-year Director Sherri Schmitz of the Cold Spring Home Pride Lions Club and first-year Director and Immediate Past District Governor Zach Wosmek of the Paynesville Lions Club. Lion Sherri and IPDG Zach will represent District 5M8, serving more than 70 Lions clubs from Sturgeon Lake and Staples in the north to Belgrade and Kimball in the south.

The Minnesota Lions Vision Foundation is dedicated to preserving and restoring sight by raising awareness and providing funding for vision-related services, education, and research. The Foundation supports the Lions Children’s Eye Clinic, Lions Macular Degeneration Center, Lions Eye Surgery Center, Lions Gift of Sight, and the Minnesota Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center. Through these programs, the Foundation helps improve the lives of countless individuals by advancing vision research, providing exceptional eye care, and recycling used eyeglasses that are distributed to people in need throughout the United States and around the world. Together, these efforts ensure that more people have access to the gift of better vision.
