September 8, 1945 – June 29, 2026
Marlene Rose Rogers, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with liver failure. She will be remembered as a vibrant woman with a heart of gold — famously, fiercely, and wonderfully stubborn in all the best ways.
Born in Litchfield, Minnesota, Marlene was the beloved daughter of Rudolph (Rudy) and Florence (Sunny) Remus. She graduated high school in 1964 from Eden Prairie High School and then pursued her passion for beauty, becoming a proud business owner of her own beauty shop in Red Wing, Minnesota.
Marlene’s first marriage began in 1965, and after that chapter closed, she later married her devoted husband, David Rogers, on June 11, 1982. Together, they made their home in Cold Spring, Minnesota, where Marlene fulfilled her dream of living on the lake. She cherished peaceful pontoon rides, fishing in the warm sun, and spontaneous road trips to explore the Minnesota towns she loved.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Dave; her daughters, Kristine Christianson (Kelly) and Kari Kramlinger (James; deceased); her brother, Robert Remus (Diane); six grandchildren — Ashley, Patricia, Racqell, Marissa, Alecxander, and Gracie — and three great‑grandchildren: Octavia, Vivian, and Everlee. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Her stubborn strength, enormous heart, and deep love for the lake will be cherished forever by all who knew her. The family will have a private gathering at a later date.
