Cold Spring Home Pride Lions members Diann Bellmont, Judy Gertken, and Kathy Kuechle along with Diann’s sister Darleen participated in the Minnesota Lions Hearing Foundation’s annual D-Feet Hearing Loss Walk on June 6th at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. The event brings together Lions and supporters from across the state to raise awareness and funds for hearing research, education, and support services.
The Minnesota Lions Hearing Foundation (MLHF) is a nonprofit organization that partners with the University of Minnesota Department of Otolaryngology to support groundbreaking research in hearing loss and ear health. MLHF provides funding for innovative treatments, early childhood hearing screening programs, and assistance for individuals in need of hearing aids. Through community events like the D-Feet Walk, the foundation also promotes education and encourages Minnesotans to take an active role in protecting their hearing.
The Cold Spring Home Pride Lions continue to support hearing health as a core focus of their club’s service mission. Through partnerships with MLHF and other Lions initiatives, they strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of individuals and families affected by hearing loss. We will be doing Free Hearing Screenings at community events throughout the year. WE SERVE!
