She also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Lorrie worked at Knollwood Club in Lake Bluff, IL as a server and hostess until retiring. She loved to attend traditional lunch outings with her friends, quilt, embroider, bake, and had a “Green Thumb” attending to her plants.

Lorrie is survived by her children, Cindy Kofler, and Daniel (Kathy Ryan) Bruner; grandchildren, Jessica (Chad) Roberts, Erik (Rachel) Bruner, Jaime Bruner, and Danielle Bruner; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Amber, Mikayla, Elijah, Amari, Brooklyn, Kennedy, Kalen, and Kory; one great-great grandchild, Mason, and many nieces and nephews in Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Bruner; grandson, Aaron Eaton; parents, John and Veronica Ressemann; siblings, Lorraine Fischer, Ruth Worm and Manny Ressemann; sisters-in-law, Marie Hesse and Helen Ressemann; brothers-in-law, Henry Fischer, Math Worm and Virgil Hesse, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and very dear and close cousin, Mary Ann Moser-Maus.

Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. with entombment at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.

A special thank you to Lorrie’s caregiver, Kathy (KC) Raysby for always putting a smile on Mom’s face and making her look pretty every day. Neither Mom nor her family could have gotten through her final journey without KC.
