A Celebration of Life will be held at River of Life Church on Thursday, October 17th. Visitation is at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. for Marlys Cross, age 91 who died September 10, 2024 at Benedictine Assumption Nursing Home, Cold Spring, MN.
Marlys was born March 10, 1933 in Young America, MN to Vern (Casey) and Esther Wolford. She graduated from Wood Lake High School and the Minneapolis School of Business. Marlys worked for Northwest Airlines before marrying Harris Robeck. Their marriage was blessed with three children Cyndi, Steve and Dan before their divorce.
Marlys worked for Armour Foods where she met and married Gary Cross. Marlys and Gary moved to Louisville, KY and lived there 22 years. They moved to the Cold Spring area in 2003.
Marlys was active in her church in Kentucky and very active at River of Life Church, Cold Spring. She enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the Gophers and Vikings. Marlys loved to entertain and loved playing cards and Carbles. She enjoyed being with family and friends.
Marlys is survived by her husband Gary, sons Steve (Connie) Robeck, Dan Robeck and stepdaughter Jacinda (Brad) Freeman, brother Casey (Jane) Walford, sister Sandra (Gary Haberman, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents, daughter Cyndi, niece Laurie Haberman and nephew Mike Wolford.
