Mary was born August 12, 1942 in a house in Cold Spring, MN to Marie Hesse (Bruner) and Virgil Hesse. She passed away June 4, 2024 after a short and unexpected illness at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Marie Hesse of Cold Spring, sisters Nancy LaPlant (Mark) and JoAnn Vouk (Tom) and a brother Francis, who died at birth.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ronald Rose, children Pam Rose, Ronald Rose Jr. (Clalien Maisom), Richard Rose (Bana Savora) and Steven Rose, sister Catherine Plantenberg (Tom) and brother Virgil Hesse Jr. (Debby Paine) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary loved gardening, playing cards or dice with family and friends, arts and crafts, trips to the casino with her sisters, the Minnesota Twins, and garage sales.
Mary worked hard to take care of her family. She is going to be sorely missed by all. A private memorial is planned.
