Cold Spring

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2026, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring, MN for Mary Ann Hennen, who died October 10th at Asher Haus in Cold Spring. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 18th, at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring, MN. Visitation will continue Monday from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mary Ann was born in St. Cloud to Stephen and Philomena (Schreifels) Theis. She married Robert M. (Shtubby) Hennen December 15, 1972, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring.
Mary Ann was always a kind, loving, and selfless person. Her life revolved around her family, especially her eight granddaughters. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who spent more than 40 years working in food service at Cold Spring Elementary School. In addition to her work at the school, she devoted countless hours to baking and decorating cakes at home. Her passion and talent for baking eventually led her to a position at Cold Spring Bakery, where she worked for many years. Mary Ann was a member of St. Boniface Parish.
Outside of work, she loved singing and dancing to music and, most of all, spending quality time with her family. She found joy tending to her flower gardens, dedicating many hours to making them beautiful, and keeping an eye out for cardinals, which brought her a special kind of happiness.
She is survived by her children, Kari (Michael) Jennings, Mike (Dani) Hennen; son-in-law, Dan Maiers; siblings, Willie Theis, Eldred Theis, Delroy Theis, Del (Rich) Hennen, Liz (Joe) Braegelmann, Rose (Larry Statz) Mueller; grandchildren, Brooke, Allie, Megan, Taylor, Summer, Stephanie, Sara, Hailey; many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Shtubby; daughter, Wendy; in-laws, Judy Theis, Don Hennen, and Jeff Mueller.
Arrangements are with the Wenner Funeral Home, Cold Spring, MN.
