Charles “Charlie” Widmer, age 64, of Lake Lillian passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at his home in Lake Lillian. A visitation will be held at K-M Funeral Home in Lake Lillian on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 1-3 p.m. Burial will follow at Blomkest Evergreen Cemetery. A time of fellowship will be at the Horseshoe Bar in Lake Lillian following the burial. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to a donor of your choice. Charles John Widmer was born September 19, 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Norman and Annabel (Bernard) Widmer. He grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Patrick Henry High School. Charlie then continued his education at Dunwoody College for welding. Charlie married Shar Saxton at First Lutheran Church in Winthrop on October 15, 1994. He was employed as a USDA meat inspector retiring in September of 2020. Charlie was a charter member of the Lake Lillian Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing the concertina for local events and for enjoyment.
Charlie is survived by his wife Sharlyn “Shar” Widmer; his son Alex Widmer; his three siblings: Tom (and Jane) Widmer, Cheri Lardy, and Doug (and Brenda) Widmer; his two sisters-in-law: Leann (and Mike) Haas and Sharon (and Roger) Schiro; his brother-in-law Steve (and Sara) Saxton and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; Norman and Annabel Widmer; his father and mother-in-law Orville and Betty Saxton and his two brothers-in-law: Lee Lardy and Robert Horak.
