Tucked away in the Northwest corner of Richmond, along the Sauk River, is Rich-River Nature Park. The seven acres of green space is a great place to find quiet and solitude. The park features walking trails, wooded beauty, birds singing, occasional deer and otter sightings, and the calm flow of the Sauk River. There are picnic tables and grills on the river bank for a family picnic, while throwing a line in the water hoping for the big catch. You read a book from one of the benches dotting the walking trails. Take Fido for a walk in the woods or maybe let him fetch a ball out of the river. It is a short portage for canoe or kayak launching. You can paddle around and explore a new view of Richmond. Maybe you just need a place to sit and collect your thoughts. Rich-River Nature Park has a lot to offer.
The park is located off County Road 23 and 4th Street NW, and take the first left at Barry Avenue NW. The park has plenty of parking. So you let your adventure begin.
