Neil Perry passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, August 29, 2025, under hospice care at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers, WI. Neil had been a resident at Angelus Senior Living in Manitowoc, WI since December of 2023. Neil was born on April 2, 1942, in Flint, Michigan to parents Harold and Mary Pierce Perry. He graduated from Flint Southwestern High School in 1960 and, after graduation, enrolled at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. In 1963 Neil transferred to Saint Cloud State University where he met Nancy Johnson, who would become his wife in 1964. Neil transferred back to Michigan State and, upon graduation, began his life with Nancy in Owosso, MI. At this time, Neil began his career with the YMCA in Owosso as Aquatics Director. He later held YMCA Director positions in St. Louis Park, MN, Bloomington, MN, Little Rock, AR, and finished his career as Director of the YMCA in Austin, MN. Neil retired from the YMCA in 1997.

Neil enjoyed fishing, sailing, golf, woodworking, and traveling with Nancy during their retirement years. Neil and Nancy enjoyed annual winter trips to Florida, trips to California and Texas, as well as two trips to Europe. He also valued time with his children, grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.

He is survived by his twin sons Steve (Amy) Perry of Baldwin, WI, Stuart (Lissa Staples) of Saint Cloud, MN, daughter Maren (Derek) Slickman of Two Rivers, WI, grandchildren Emily Perry, Anna (Nathaniel) Egeberg, Laura Slickman, Eli Perry, and Jaden Perry. He is also survived by two great granddaughters, Josie and Hallie Egeberg.

Neil was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, his parents, and his brother, John Perry. A special extension of gratitude is given to the care givers at Angelus Senior Living for their help and support of Neil while he lived there.
