Gregory Roman Udermann, 64, of Waite Park, passed away November 25, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, along with a graveside burial.
Greg was born June 1, 1960, in Richmond, MN, to Marci (Thul) and Albert Udermann. He was baptized and attended Catholic school at St. Peters and Paul Church in Richmond, where he later confirmed his Catholic faith. Greg grew up in Richmond and graduated high school in 1978. He joined the US Marine Corp in 1980. Greg completed basic training at Camp LeJeune North Carolina and served in Beirut and Guam until 1983.
In 1988 Greg was united in marriage to Kelly Donahue in St. Cloud. To this union, two children were born: Shane and Rochelle Udermann. Greg worked many jobs, which he enjoyed. He worked at a local mink ranch for many years. He was a welder at Nu-Flyer, and later at Stonecrafter’s Granite Company.
In his younger years, Greg enjoyed working on cars and going out and spending time with friends. Greg is the oldest of three brothers: Mike, Dan and Brian Udermann. Greg was an avid outdoorsman, with his greatest love of fishing. Greg bought his boat in 2008 and enjoyed many happy years on the water. Greg’s fishing partners were his two cousins, Steve and Dale Schrammel; many fish were caught and many stories told. Greg also enjoyed deer hunting with his brother Dan, nephews Chad and Justin, and great-nephew Chance.
Greg married Judy Nohrenberg on August 20, 2005. The couple purchased two Harleys and had many great trips and fun times.
Greg is survived by his wife of 19.5 years, Judy; his children: Shane Udermann, Rochelle Udermann; grandson Mason Udermann ;his parents: Marci and Albert Udermann; stepchildren: Christopher (and Heather) Nohrenberg, Amber (and Victor) Romo, Megan (and Shannon) Carl, and Eric (and Kayla) Nohrenberg; and eight step-grandchildren: Christian, Landon, Alejandro, Rafe, Jordyn, Reagan, Steven and Luke. He is survived by his brothers Mike (and former wife Marty), Dan (and Maryjo), and Brian (and Cari). He also survived by many nieces, nephews, his aunts and uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
