Ronald M. Westrup, age 68

September 2, 1948 – March 23, 2017

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Rockville, MN for Ronald M. Westrup, age 68, who died Thursday at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta.  Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery at a later date.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring.  Parish Prayers will be at 4:00 p.m.  

Ron was born to Medard and Florence (Schied) Westrup and grew up in Winsted, MN.  He married Anita Renner on December 6, 1969 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Winsted, MN.  He spent 4 years at St. Cloud State University and became a passionate Monument Salesman.  He cared for and assisted many families during their times of grief.  He loved music and had his own band for 20 plus years.  He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family.  Ron was a past member of the Cold Spring Lions Club.

Survivors include wife, Anita; daughter, Molly (Bill) Schumal and their children, Tucker and Charlie; daughter-in-law, Kim Westrup and her children, Megan and Brianna; sister, Connie (Marv) Showalter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Scott.
