Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Richmond, MN for Everett “Jr.” Hansgen, age 78, who died Friday at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Entombment will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond.  Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning at the funeral home.

“Jr.” was born in Richmond, MN to Everett and Ruth (Maas) Hansgen.  He served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1956-1958.  “Jr.” was the Richmond City Engineer from 1979 to 2003. He was a member of the Richmond Lions, Richmond Legion Post 292, and a retired member of the Richmond Fire Department.  In retirement, he enjoyed shaking dice with friends at Haffley’s and Corky’s Bar.
 
Survivors include his son, Rob Hansgen; brother, Nick Hansgen; half siblings, Denise Kurowski, Diane, Debra, David and Dan Hansgen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jackie Wenner, Joan Goebel, Jean Olmscheid and step-mother, Hildegard Hansgen.

Memorials are preferred to Richmond Firefighters Relief Association or Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School.
