Sat., Sept. 22 – Alizabeth Ludwig Benefit from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Roadside Tavern, Roscoe. Meal served from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A portion of the bar proceeds will be donated to the family. Alizabeth was diagnosed with Leukemia in December 2017. She is currently undergoing treatments a the University of MN Children’s Hospital.

Thurs. & Fri., Sept. 27 & 28 – St. John the Baptist Parish, Collegeville: RUMMAGE SALE. Thursday, September 27 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, September 28 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. ($1/bag) at the Parish Center on Fruit Farm Road, just west of St. John’s Campus.

Fri. & Sat., Sept. 28 & 29 – The St. Joe Y2K Lions will hold a Brat Sale at the St. Joseph Meat Market on Friday, September 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 29th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All tips, donations and profits will be used for local Lion projects.

Fri., Oct. 5 – Oktoberfest Fundraiser at St. John’s the Baptist Parish Center on Fruit Farm Road, St. Joseph (just west of St. John’s University) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Bake Sale and Silent Auction. Live music by Nathan’s Old Time Band. Take out orders are welcome. 320-363-2569.

Sat., Oct. 6 – The Scouts from Cold Spring, Richmond & Rockville will be conducting a food and winter gear drive for our ROCORI Food Shelf. Place canned goods, nonperishable food items, winter jackets, hats, gloves and boots in a recyclable plastic bag. Set this bag outside your door or by your mailbox by 9:00 a.m. The Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts will pick it up and deliver it to our ROCORI Food Shelf.

Third Monday of each month – The Saint Cloud Area Parkinson's Disease (PD) Support Group meets from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at the St. Cloud Library. There is no cost to attend, and the meetings are open to those diagnosed with PD, their families, caregivers, and the general public. Tuesdays – Catholic Charities Senior Dining and Health Promotions are offering a Diabetes Self Management Program workshop in Cold Spring at the River of Life Church, 22881 178th Ave, Cold Spring. This workshop meets one time a week for 6 weeks each Tuesday beginning on April 3, 10, 17, 24, May 1 and 8th from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Minimum of 10 registered for this workshop to be presented. We ask for a Voluntary contribution for the workshop to help cover costs. This workshop falls under the Older Americans Act of 1965, where no one will be denied this service based on ability to pay or not. This workshops is meant for those 60+ in age.

St. Catherine’s in Farming is once again opening its doors for occasional masses as well as funerals, weddings and ecclesial celebrations for the faithful with ties to the Farming Community. Second Tuesday of Each Month – Free Blood Pressure Clinic provided by the Assumption Community from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the John Paul Apartments Dining Room.

Second & Fourth Tuesday of Each Month – St. Cloud Support Group for Families. NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) sponsors free support groups for families and friends of individuals living with a mental illness. Led by trained facilitators who also have a family member with mental illness, the support groups help families develop better coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences. A family support group meets in St. Cloud at 7:00-8:30 p.m., on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, at Calvary Community Church, 1200 Roosevelt Road. For information, call Mike at 320-259-7101.

American Legion members meetings are held at the Cold Spring American Legion on the second Thursday of each month. A good will offering snack at 6:00 p.m. Meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. sharp. A cash drawing and refreshments follow the meeting. Members are encouraged to attend.
